Send some Positivi-tea
With Coronavirus affecting thousands of people in so many different ways, My Icon Story wanted to offer people a free and simple way to spread some much needed positivity.
So we launched our POSITIVI-TEA initiative, inviting people to send a FREE positivi-tea greeting card to someone in need during these difficult and emotional times. Receiving a card in the post brings an instant smile :)
Like many people, my nan is in the vulnerable category, having beaten cancer twice and being over 70. She is self-isolating for the next 12 weeks! Knowing that she'll be feeling rather lonely, I sent her a card to let her know I'm thinking of her and hopefully to bring a smile to her face. - Laura Lane, Founder My Icon Story
I am solo founder of My Icon Story and completely self-fund the business. After putting budget aside to run the FREE initiative, all the cards SOLD OUT within 2 hours of launching! There was an overwhelming 'positive' response for the Positivi-tea cards and I received lots of messages from people asking when more would be available.

As a small independent business, I'm very quickly running out of my personal budget to keep up with demand for these wonderful cards. I'm now reaching out to ask for support to to enable many more people to send a FREE Positivi-tea card because I would love to keep this initiative going.

How are donations used
Each card costs £1.80 to produce and includes Royal Mail postage. I would love to reach a target of 1000 cards being sent out to people but I need your support and donations to fund the production and postage. Until now, I have been personally funding the cards but due to the financial pressures of being an independent, I can no longer keep production going. With your support, I can make many more FREE cards available for people all over the UK to send some positivi-tea to someone in need.

How can someone send a card?
We offer two simple ways to send a card on our website myiconstory.com
1. Have your message printed in the card and sent direct to recipient
2. Have a blank card sent to yourself with a spare envelope to post yourself

Designs inspired by Holly
The card designs have been inspired by one of My Icon Story's student bloggers Holly Blossom. Holly is 19 years old and recently launched her debut podcast called Tea with HB. Take a listen for some positivi-tea :)
