Being the change

I moved to Nottingham and Sneinton after the loss of a loved one in 2001. The local young people were initially pretty hostile to me and my introduction to Sneinton was not going as I'd hoped. So one day, I went out to talk to them. I discovered that many of them had a passion for music and, since I was a DJ and a music producer, I offered to teach them what I knew.

Nearly 20 years and thousands of young people later, the SEND Project continues to engage young people and vulnerable adults in creative experiences, inspiring them to raise their aspirations, overcome barriers and realise their potential.
