I've raised £1000 to fund new sensory equipment for Paul and the rest of the Oak View family

OFFLINE DONATIONS: £487.00
Update: We're doing the Beachy Head 10K as a family for Oak View!
We are trying to raise funds to donate some new sensory equipment to Oak View, a local residential home for adults with severe learning disabilities. We hope to help the carers give the sensory room a new lease of life!
My cousin, Paul, lives at Oak View with three of his friends. All four of them are wheelchair bound and have a very limited ability to communicate and interact with the outside world. However, Paul and his friends are all very happy and enjoy the small things in life. They love to explore the world by touch, sound, colour, smell and of course taste - very few things make Paul happier than holding his hand under running water, playing his tambourine or eating a good homemade curry!
The sensory room hence means a great deal to all four of them and vastly improves their quality of life. It gives them the opportunity to experience new sensations and get instant feedback as they interact with the equipment. It's lifechanging.
Unfortunately the sensory room has been out of action in the last months due to broken equipment. This is a long time to go without such vital equipment. It would therefore be wonderful if more equipment were added to the room. This would mean that, even if one of the pieces of equipment was out of use, other equipment would still be available and everyone in the home would still be able to benefit from the interactive sensory experience.
We would love to donate some new equipment to the home's sensory room that would make a real impact to the lives of my cousin Paul and his friends.
The reason we are attempting this now is because my dad, the larger than life John Orsborne, loved his nephew and godson Paul immensely. My dad always made every effort to ensure Paul was never left out and was always included. If Paul came round, curry was on the menu and packets of jelly babies were bought by the dozen. Dad would get the guitar out and play Paul music and help him strum a few notes. He always wanted the very best for Paul and didn't want him to miss out on anything life has to offer.
My dad passed away a few months ago very suddenly. We think it would be fitting to donate equipment to Oak View that directly helps Paul on my dad's behalf.
We have already raised about £350 from people who have kindly offered donations. We are beyond happy with the amount we have raised so far and would love to increase this if at all possible. We want to be able to donate equipment that is more interactive and will really transform the lives of my cousin and his friends. We are hoping to get all the money together by the 10th November, my dad's birthday.
If you can donate ANY small amount we will be forever grateful!
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
With lots of love,
The Orsbornes
