The word dementia describes a set of symptoms that may include memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving or language. Dementia is caused when the brain is damaged by diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease or a series of strokes. Dementia is progressive, which means the symptoms will gradually get worse.

I am planning to buy a local dementia nursing home some new sensory equipment (Stimulation of the senses includes sight, touch, taste,
smell, sound and movement (proprioception – where our
body is in space, and vestibular awareness) because i want to help promote a sense of well-being, achievement, success and independence, to promote social skills and open up a window of communication and connection, enhance social skills, encourage participation, reduce agitation, anxiety and apathy, trigger treasured memories, entertain and amuse, and stimulate all 5 senses.
