I'm raising £5000 to provide sensory equipment for a local not for profit CIC who will offer a community space for adults & children with learning disabilities.

Story

Our local area lacks dedicated, inclusive spaces where children and adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs—and their families, friends, and carers—can come together, connect, and thrive.
At Lotus Enrichment Centre, we witness daily how vital such a space is—and how urgently it’s needed.
That’s why we’re supporting SENtience, a not-for-profit Community Interest Company.
SENtience will be far more than a sensory room. It will be a safe, welcoming environment where no one feels excluded and everyone is seen, heard, and valued. It will be a place where friendships blossom, skills are developed, and support networks are built—a true community for individuals and families who often feel left out.
The word sentience means the capacity to experience feelings, sensations, and consciousness. It reflects the core of what this space will provide: a haven where individuals with complex needs can engage in sensory integration that supports emotional regulation, self-expression, and personal development.
This is not just about creating a space—it’s about creating belonging.
To bring this vision to life, we’re organising a series of fundraising events—because inclusion should never be out of reach. Our very first event is a charity skydive, and we’re excited to share that Sam, Jun, Heather, Donna and Sarah Jayne will be bravely jumping from 15,000 feet to raise both funds and awareness for SENtience.
We’re calling on everyone—families, carers, professionals, friends, and anyone passionate about inclusion—to get involved. Support our fundraisers, share our mission, or simply spread the word.
Together, we can build something truly transformative—a space that belongs to everyone, where no one is left behind, and where the power of community changes lives.
Let’s make SENtience a reality.
