Sent West, a theatre company co-founded by Persia Cennamo and Neve Lofthouse, has partnered with Fighting Knife Crime London on our debut play titled "London, Do We Have A Problem?" which is having its world premiere at the Camden Fringe this August. Born after a harrowing first-hand experience with a victim of knife crime that Persia and Neve had, this comedy-drama play pokes fun at the realities of the student experience (because if we don’t laugh we’ll cry), whilst demonstrating what it truly means to be a Londoner in 2026.

Our goal as a company is to utilise theatre as an instrument to bring about real and lasting social change. We believe in the power of the arts, and its ability to inspire and unite audiences. We must bring these pressing issues within our society to the forefront of conversations, in order to break cycles and make our country a safer place. Too many lives have been taken as a result of knife crime, devastating both families and entire communities.

Fighting Knife Crime London is an organisation on a mission to change young lives for the better in Greater London, helping young people, their families, victims, and all those affected by violence.

Together, we hope to combat all forms of social exclusion and raise awareness for the cause.

"London, do we have a problem?" is the inevitable question that all residents of the city find themselves asking, because at this rate, the bad luck feels personal. Follow four university students, who’ve relocated from opposite ends of the country, as they navigate living together in The Big Smoke. Join us on this adventure and you’ll either relate, find solace, or finally understand why our generation is riddled with so much anxiety! It’s just like ‘Sex and the City’, only less chic, and set during a post-Covid cost-of-living crisis, with a combined £200k of student debt. On second thought, maybe ‘The Hunger Games’ is a more accurate comparison…
