I've raised £500 to build our work with people with learning disabilities by giving you the chance to listen to a brand new short story.

Story

Theatre has in effect now stopped in the UK. Many of us are self isolating.

The Separate Doors project hasn't stopped, it's only just got started and in spite of losing out on funding due to the current crisis we're absolutely determined to keep it going.

We support actors with learning disabilities and we are a Charitable Incorporated Company (not for profit).

We believe in offering something for something.

Our Artistic Director Vanessa Brooks- a many times published playwright and author- is recording and producing audio recordings of some of her short stories. Each will be an opportunity to put your feet up and be transported to a different world.

We'll be uploading them, one at a time, so why not click in and have a listen?

If you enjoy the short story you listen to then please donate to Separate Doors, any amount will do - and don't worry if you can't contribute, we're very happy to share and offer a bit of a diversion in a difficult time- as with all of us theatre-folk a good review is worth its weight in gold!

The first of the audio stories will be up shortly...

And here it is, A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN THE WEATHER, read by Heather Dutton an introduction by Timberlake Werthenbaker.
