Story
I have been given a wonderful opportunity to go to Fiji for 3 weeks (of a 6 week project) to help build a community hall in Vivili village. The hall was destroyed by Cyclone Winston in 2016 along with homes and livelihoods. The community hall represents the centre of village life in Vivili which is why this was chosen as a worthy place for our help.
CAUKIN Studio, a collaborative working with the Chairty NGF have worked tirelessly to make this happen along with a second project in Naweni Village down the road (a school and nurses station). There have been many design meetings to create the perfect space to cater for all aspects of community life.
I am raising money to help with costs towards building materials, equipment and for local families to put us up in their homes.
Anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated!
