Hey guys, I hope this message finds you well. My name is Sérgio and I'm running a half marathon on 12th May in St Bury Edmonds.
Many of you might not be aware but thousands of children are groomed into child criminal exploitation (human trafficking). Some 10.000 children have been reported as criminally exploited victims in County Lines since 2015, with almost 1900 in 2022. The real scale is much higher and many of these children also suffer sexual exploitation alongside.
As a professional working with young people for the past 18 years and their families, I have experienced firsthand the pain and suffering of those most affected. As a father of two children, I dread that one day I might be affected and my family destroyed by the powerful means criminals use to groom and exploit children and young people.
Therefore, I urge you to help me support SPACE, a wonderful and specialist organization that helps, families, agencies, and communities to combat Child Criminal Exploitation and Human Trafficking across the UK.
