I've raised £200 to acces resources for research on bilingualism and biculturalism in education.

In our multicultural society, many pupils struggle at school and show slower progress in their academic life yet their ethno-linguistic and cultural backgrounds are not taken into account in their assessments. Our curriculum is constantly developing and needs to be more multilingulism-friendly preparing our children for a multicultural society. My research would shed further light on some of those factors stopping proportionate number of students from realising their true potential and help them leave school as committed good citizens of the world. Particularly issues around the assessment of bilingual learners need to be raised in the academia to implement a more consistent system that is fairer to the pupils' achievements.
I am working on this research every school holiday and self-funding the resources has been a challenge so far. I would truly appreciate your contribution, which will enable me to access the national library and order some second-hand books to complete the first part of my research.
Your contribution is truly appreciated.
