This is an emergency.

Ukraine has been battered by Russian attacks for almost five years. Their power and water supplies are constantly targeted and we're heading into another harsh winter.

Many people will have to endure yet another winter like last year, when temperatures reached around -20C, without heating or electricity.

I am part of a group that has, for several years, been driving aid convoys from the UK to Ukraine, around every two months. We obtain the vehicles, fill them with medical supplies, warm clothes, and the like and - whenever we have the funds - buy generators and "uninterruptible power supply" batteries. Our largest delivery was over fifty generators.

But...

Times are hard.

Our regular supply of vehicles (from those being scrapped under the London ULEZ scheme) has dried up.

Diesel prices have doubled (we have to drive 2,500km just to get to Lviv).

However, the constant missile and drone attacks haven't dried up.

Ukrainian civilians are still being killed on a daily basis as apartment blocks, schools, hospitals, and railway stations are bombed. All civilian targets. .

My motto is:

If you could please donate to this cause, I guarantee that every penny will be spent on getting aid to Ukraine, to help them withstand the onslaught they face every day.

Whether you are able to donate or not, please share the link to this fund-raising page.

In anticipation, thank you very much.

The (not-so) "small print":

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.

Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.

They will ask you to make a payment to cover their costs. You can reduce that amount, or decline to pay it if you wish.
