Story

Georgia Thacker Bendall is an early years practitioner at Glaitness nursery in Kirkwall. However this is not her most important role. That importance is reserved for being a fantastic mum to her three beautiful daughters. Azra, Jess and Anna. 16, 8 and 3 respectively. In April of this year Georgia's life was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with stage 4 Colorectal cancer. With further investigation ensuing at the moment this is a very traumatic time for Georgia and her girls, as Dr's fear she may also have breast cancer, as further irregularities have been discovered on a more thorough scan at Aberdeen Royal infirmary. We her friends are setting up this crowd fund as we want Georgia to travel through her journey without have to worry and stress about anything. We want her to be able to spend quality time with her girls, making memories and having fun. Without any financial worries or stressers, Georgia can concentrate on her family, treatment and recovery.
On a personal level Georgia is a great friend, colleague but most of all a wonderful mother. She walks through life with only the best intentions for her children. This is reflected in the love and adoration they have for each other. The road ahead for Georgia and her family may be uncertain but I do know that she will give it her all. She will use every fibre of her being to remain strong for the girls.
Georgia is a human that people would say is the salt of the earth. She doesn't deserve this, nobody does. Please let's do all we can to make this time a little bit easier for Georgia, her family and more importantly her girls. Every donation and message of love and support means the world to this family. It gives them hope. That is all we can do as Georgia endures her chemotherapy treatment. Just knowing that people are around who are there for her.
We love you Georgia
