Story

Hi, I'm trying to raise £2,500, to help a woman from a village in Pakistan to have urgent surgery to remove a large uterine cyst.
The cyst has begun to affect her physically and she is struggling to get through the day.
It's causing severe pain in her lower abdomen and has now begun to affect her walking and even lying down in bed. She is in constant pain.
She has been to see a local village doctor who has done basic ultrasound scan, revealing  ovarian and uterine cysts. She was advised the larger uterine cyst  which is causing pain will have to be removed surgically.

There are no means in the village to get this procedure done... she will have to travel to the nearest city of Lahore, which is a 5 hour journey by bus.
Her family are unable to provide her the means for this urgent medical treatment.

PCOS/ Uterine cysts can be treated and managed in western countries; but for a family in a third world country living below the poverty line, in a nation with no national health system it is not possible. The heavy costs involved for such a family are unfathomable.
Left untreated the cyst could enlargen and lead to cancer

Approximate breakdown of costs:

Expected stay in hospital : 6 nights

Travel for family in car plus a driver: 3000 rupees (£20) per day..

Food costs for patient and 3 family members: 3000 Rupees per day (£20)

Approximate cost of surgery : 300,000 Rupees
(About £2000)
Includes all tests, scans, blood from blood bank, medication, bedside drips, actual surgical procedure and post surgical physio and rehab.

Total cost: approx: 360,000 Rupees (£2.5K/£3K)

Please find it in your heart to help this young woman and her family
