Hi, for those of you that don't know, my name is Sheree and I am 26 years old.

I have been given the opportunity to have surgery on a lipoma I have that has been causing issues.

I've had this since roughly the age of 7-8 and it has consistently grown since, In the last year it's started to cause more and more problems, such as numbness, tingling, pain & turning cold from the location of the lipoma down to my hand, this worsens as I use the muscle beneath it.

Our free health care (NHS) have refused to deal with my lipoma for many years as they class it as cosmetic, regardless of other issues or not. However, with the issues it is causing and the rapid growth it has recently had, myself and my family feel it's best to have it removed before it causes more damage, so privately is the only other option available, which unfortunately is quite costly.

My fiancé (Daniel) was kind enough offer me money to have this surgery, however, we were given a quote a few weeks back (a package for around £1900 this includes the surgery itself, hospitalisation, anaesthetic and after care), having seen the surgeon (26th July 2022) to arrange my operation, he has now stated that because of the size, location and intricacy, as it is located near nerves and could potentially have nerves through the lipoma itself, it will now cost significantly more (£3071).

Having Daniel pay for as much as we were originally quoted was already too much to ask from him, so I have taken it upon myself to create this to attempt to help him as best as possible.

I am currently out of work so I am unable to fund this myself and my mum and dad wish to help, but my mum has recently lost her job due to prolonged illness.

I have set the goal to £400 as I don't want to come across too greedy, although the final cost will be significantly more than that.

If you do decide to help us out I am very grateful for your contribution. I didn't want to result to doing this but it is so unfair on Daniel to put that much on him and I can't expect that. Thank you!!
