Story

I am 23 and a support worker for an organisation that deals with homelessnes and complex needs.
I earn £1400pcm and my rent £888 and get no support from housing benefit.
After experiencing hardship and being threatened with homlessness myself due to rent arrears. I went down every avenue possible looking for financial support. Nobody from the council could help me. I kept getting passed on to other organisations that could also not help me
And 3 years later I have still not been helped. As I started talking to other people in rent arrears I realised the reason why I am not recieving any help is because there is no help being provided for people in rent arrears.
Sharing my story with people and listening to others has now inspired me to start a charity that cators for those in rent arrears as there are many different situations and reasons that can lead to people into accumulating arrears
My plan this year is to raise 20k and distribute it to 20 families. Each family will receive £1000 which will be paid directly to there landord. If i can rely on the public and all is successful next year we will be able to help even more familes.
Please please please donate! Even if it's just a penny or a pound. You can really make a difference in somebodys life. You never know one day it could be you looking for a charity that can successfully help you get out of rent arrears with no judgement.
