Story

Kyle Crowder is 13 years old. He attends king Harold School in Waltham abbey. Where he has lived all of his life..

Kyle is a shy boy with a big heart. He will do anything for anyone. Especially his little sister Lily

Kyle loves playing his Xbox and enjoys spending time with his Mum Paigan. Dad Chris, Step mum Sarah and sister Lily. As well as his extended family

Kyle found a Lump at the beginning of December. He then attended Princess Alexandra Hospital with his mum a few days later. Where he‘s tumour was misdiagnosed.

Kyle then started experiencing a lot of pain during the week leading upto Christmas.

Kyle then had to self isolate before he was able to have a follow up appointment. Due to being in close contact with a family member who had covid.

At the beginning of February Kyle attended Great Ormond Street Hospital to undergo an operation to have the tumour removed.

As they were about to perform the operation the surgeon discovered that the tumour was to big to remove and that kyle would need to undergo chemotherapy to reduce the size of the tumour for them to be able to operate on it.

A biopsy later showed that Kyle has stage 3 Rhabdomyosarcoma. The scan also showed that the cancer had spread to Kyles lymph nodes.

Kyles family were devastated by the news and have not left his side ever since

Kyle started Intensive 25 weeks of Chemotherapy on February 24th at the University College Hospital. Which will see him attend the hospital a few times a week and stay over for three consecutive nights every other week.

The specialists will then sit down with Kyle and his family discuss weather the tumour has shrunk enough to operate on.

Kyle remains upbeat. But the next six months to a year is going to be really tough. Physically and mentally. He is going to need all the support he can get from family, friends and the local community.

After speaking to Kyles family over the last couple of weeks I have decided to set up this crowdfunding page to support them.

Every penny that Is raised will go towards funding Kyles travel expenses to and from the University College Hospital in London over the next 6 to 12 months.

Money will also be used in anything that will help keep Kyle comfortable over that period.

Kyle is also likely to loose his hair as a result of chemotherapy

It would be great if we as a community could get behind him and his family to support them during this difficult time ❤️
