On saturday 18th Decemeber 10 year old Lily Rose Morris was knocked down in a hit and run collision on Coleridge Road, in Sholver, last night.

Emergency crews raced to the scene at around 5pm on Saturday (December 18) following reports of a collision between a red Land Rover Discovery and two children.

10-year-old Lily was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

But despite the best efforts of medics, she sadly died a short time later.

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence following the collision on Coleridge Road, in Sholver, last night

Reading this story was so upsetting. Then i came across a comment from Lilys mum Mel on facebook explaining that it was her daughter who was tragically killed in the collision

Lily was a happy bubble lovely little girl who loved tic tok she had 100s of friends attended hodge Clough primary.

Lily’s family and Her best friend who was with her at the time are heart broken
