Story

"Education is the door to freedom, democracy and development" (Nelson Mandela)

Hello! Thank you for taking time to look at Just Giving page.

I am trying to raise funds to help cover the cost of my accommodation for a 4 week long trip to Africa (Tanzania) on June 17th, where we will be volunteering to help orphans and underprivileged children achieve an education that we all know they deserve. Additionally some of the funding raised will also be spent on learning materials such as pens, paper and basic English books for the children to use throughout their learning experience, which I will take over with me. Whilst I am there I will be supporting teachers and teaching children basic English.

In 2010, 68,000 children dropped out of primary school, and 66,000 children left secondary school early due to poverty and the inability to pay for school fees.

Not only is this an opportunity for me to make a difference in at least one child's life but will also provide a rare opportunity for me too to engage in a completely different culture and to push myslef out of my comfort zone.

This project is 100% voluntary based, therefore I have to pay for everything, including flights, accommodation and the registration fees to go over to Africa. Therefore any amount of donations are massively appreciated.

All sponsors will receive a "Thank You" pack from the children you have helped support! Containing photos and a card signed by all those helped throughout this project!

I hope that you will embark on this once in a lifetime journey with me and contribute to make a difference in today's world!
