My name is Shaquille Adigun, I’m 14 and attend Highfield School in Letchworth. I am planning to travel to Borneo in the Summer of 2018 to volunteer with Camps International.

I need to raise £4,080 for this trip.

The regional issues which I will be helping with while I am there are attendance to Secondary School where only a tiny number of children have had the same opportunities that I have and Deforestation where lots of local habitat is being destroyed to make way for Palm oil plantations.

We could be building School Kitchens, building Kindergartens, Taking part in reforestation programmes, building Community toilet blocks, Building bridges and Beach clean ups.

I have never been away from home for more than 4 days before and this trip is for 4 weeks, the other side of the world! I will have an amazing adventure with an opportunity to trek through a jungle and sleep in a hammock but I will also learn about new cultures and develop team work and leadership skills as well as assisting a community.
