We have seen this pandemic take jobs and make life harder in the long run. Restricted cash flow means teams like Mateo AFC find it harder to book training pitches let alone match pitches. Football for many of us is more than a hobbie, football can and is therapeutic. But as many footballers and coaches know, training facilities and equipment have become expensive! And of course maintaining the pitches and their facilities are not free so we understand we have to pay to play. But with Covid-19 we have seen players fall out. Money shouldn't be a reason a team member drops out, especially when football improves our mental health.
So we ask you to help us raise £1,000.
We may never reach that target but it starts here. We as a team would very much appreciate all the support and come watch us fight for promotion into the Premier Division in the upcoming season!
