    Story

On 13/06/18 We gave birth to our beautiful baby girl Betsy Ella-Rose 6 weeks early due to ruptured membranes. She is such a beautiful little girl and weighed a healthy 5lb.3oz, all was good although she needed a little bit of time on the neonatal unit at pilgrim hospital. The first night passed and all was ok until day 2 when our baby girl grew her wings and became an angel. The lady on neonatal ward brought our betsy back by resusitation but she was fighting for her life and needing a lot of help! As the night passed she started to to have fits and was needing to be transferred to hull for further medical treatment. A team from Nottingham came to boston to try stabilise betsy aswell as her being on a life support machine, but this was not possible she had every medication possible and it was not possible to travel with a very sick baby all the way to hull. They tried so hard to save our angel but her body decided to shut down, every bit of fight our baby girl had she had lost due to the fits and her body deteriorating, her eyes wouldnt react to light and the fits would not stop her organs had shut down. The longer we kept betsy on the life support machine the more she suffered so at 3.30am the following morning 15/06/18 we had to turn the life support machine off, its the hardest thing we have ever had to do but the best for betsy as she is no longer in pain. We still have no clue what happened to our daughter or even why and investigations are being done against pilgrim hospital and the care of our betsy from the staff. As soon as the post mortom comes back and we get our results il be able to let people know what happened but at the minute we do not no and its horrible. We would appreciate any donations towards her headstone and every little will help so if i can ask friends and family if they could contribute any way what so ever we would be really greatful. Thankyou!
