Weʼve raised £50 to Help The Broomhill Community Church Refurbishment Project

    Broomhill, United Kingdom
Funded on Thursday, 2nd February 2017

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

The project involves building a modern community hall featuring a conference suite for local businesses and community groups; an IT centre to host workshops; and facilities for young people - from computer games to cheerleading classes.

We anticipate that the combined benefits of redeveloping the centre and using it to provide a springboard to jobs and learning opportunities will help community spirit in the area. It could bring about a real physical and community renaissance for Broomhill.

    What we'll deliver:
Build a new energy efficient community centre
    Landscape external areas
    Furnish community centre
    Decorate community centre

    Why it's a great idea:
The existing building is cramped and dilapidated, despite having undergone extensive repairs over the years at substantial cost. As a result, the services it provides are being adversely affected.

We want to host a packed programme of daily activities in the new centre. Without the centre, Broomhill will miss out on vital services and the essential community bonds they bring.

    Steps to get it done:
Repair and Renovation of Interior of Building
Repair the roof and paint the exterior
    Buy new furniture
With the help of volunteers from the nearby school, paint the inside of the centre.

We've already raised 50% of our funding - now we need your help to get over the finishing line. If we can raise the money, the centre will be built and open for use by summer 2017.

The vision of a new hub for the community is within touching distance.
