3 years ago my friend, Tina, found a lump in her breast and following 2 years of surgery and treatment she was finally getting back on track. In August last year we were all devasted to learn the cancer had returned in her lungs, adrenal glands and brain. She has triple negative metastatic breast cancer.

Supporting my friend through this terrible disease is difficult, seeing her staying so strong, her fighting spirit to get up every day and have a positive outlook despite what she is going through, she is a huge inspiration to me. You never hear her complain, you never hear her moan, she never pities herself.

Tina is determined to fight and beat this disease. Chemotherapy hasn't worked for her and she has just completed radiotherapy treatment. We hope there will be a clinical trial she may now qualify for in the coming months. She spends many hours researching how she can cure herself using holistic therapies and special dietary requirements.

So, I decided to help her by raising money to help her fund her treatment while doing a half marathon on the Wirral, Merseyside on 17th June this year. She buys all of the supplements and pays for all the holistic treatments herself. This costs her £100's every month out of her own pocket.
