I've raised £5000 to To buy laptops for disadvantaged children of all ages who don’t have access to a laptop for school work during the Coronavirus

On Friday night (01/05/20) I was listening to a report on television, about how so many children are falling behind with their education during the Coronavirus because they don't have access to a laptop.
As the founder and chair of the business community ‘The Surrey HR Forum’ which has over 500 members it made me think that we must be able to help in some way ?. Then my thoughts went a stage further and thought if I open it up to the whole community hopefully this will enable us to have a faster and bigger impact.
Therefore if you can spare a minimum of £1, you really will be helping to make a difference for these children, but we need to act fast, everyday is a day further behind in their education.
I decided to set up this page so that everyone can get involved. I appreciate cash is tight for everyone at the moment so if you are not able to donate please dont worry, you could still help us achieve our target by sharing this page with as many people as possible.
So therefore from today, 2nd May, I am asking the members of the community to donate a minimum of £1 via the page,.
Another way to help is that if you have any spare (used or new) laptops or if you know anyone that could help towards this cause please contact me at Sharon@therecruitmentconsultancy.com
Our aim is to secure a minimum of 25 laptops which is a drop in the ocean compared to what is desperately needed. Lets see how quickly we can make a difference.
We have teamed up with Commpoint IT, where the Managing Director, Steve Jackson, has offered to set up these laptops for free which will enable them to be in use as quickly as possible.
We all know someone that is struggling at the moment, whether it is emotionally or financially and this is the time, more than ever, that we can support each other and the communities around us.
