Story

As most of you may know last year due to this devasting virus Covid-19 I was hospitalises between the dates of 19th Sept- 10th Dec 2020. During this time I was cared for at Prince Phillip Hospital, Llanelli and transfered to St Thomas’ London to be placed on an ECMO (Extracorporpeal Membrane Oxygenation Machine), a life support machine which I was on for 28 days. This machine saved my life and I have be lucky enough to have made a full revovery but I am very aware that others were‘nt so lucky and either lost their lives or are still suffering from Long Covid. Therefore, following a discussion with Professor Lewis (who’s decision it was to send me for ECMO) have decided to raise money for a Sculptor to be commissioned, in honour of those who have passed, those who have survived and those who are still suffering from the devastating effects of Covid-19. This sculptor will be placed in Prince Phillip Hospital Memorial Garden to enable Staff, relatives and surviours to visit and have somewhere to find peace.
