As many people know- I love Uganda and have a passion to make a difference to those I meet there.
Over the past few years I have seen some of the extreme poverty of people who call the slums 'home.' These people who have almost nothing are some of the happiest people I've ever met, especially the children. Just to give them a hug and show them someone cares makes such a difference. When they get to play with a new ball, bubbles or balloons, their faces light up. It is amazing.
I will be returning to Uganda this summer and I am raising money to buy lots of mosquito nets Something so simple that can save a life and make a huge difference but is often not affordable for those I meet in the slums.
