Hi,

My name is Sharon James, a current member of the England international Ladies Pool Team. I qualified for the team in 2011 and in 2012 I played for the first time at the world championships reaching the final as an individual, I also became national champion that year. Since then my game progressed and In 2017 I achieved the title of European Champion, in 2018 earlier this year I reached the final of the world championships individuals only to be defeated and obtain 2nd best player in the world.

In the team events, we have just completed a successful defence in our world championships and are now reigning world and European champions.

We have been asked if we can form a team to go to Australia in October 2018 to compete in a lioness test series against the Australians at their national championships.

I write to you at this time in the hope that maybe you would like to get involved as a sponsor as i look to raise funds to subsidise this trip.

This is the first time in 12 years the women have had this opportunity and as this is such a huge opportunity for myself and the ladies game to be given international exposure. I am very keen to grasp this opportunity and would welcome any support possible to help to promote and further the women's game.
