    Story

So my story goes like this. 9 years ago I had a bad motorcycle accident which resulted in a very bad smashed leg and ankle. 10cm of bone was removed from my lower leg and my ankle was put back together as best they could. I was then put into an external frame for 18 months to regrow the bone. After I had the frame taken off I was still in a great deal of pain with my ankle. I then had an ankle fusion but the pain just spread to my foot. I then went on to have a triple fusion on my foot but unfortunately it didn't work and the surgeon said I would have to go through it all again. This was when I made the huge decision to have my leg amputated. After lots of meeting with specialist and doctors it was decided that it was the best option for me, so on August 2015 I had my leg amputated. The operation was a success and I was soon learning to walk again this time with a prosthetic leg. It has been hard work but it was worth it. I definitely made the right decision.

5 years ago to keep myself occupied I took up archery. It was a sport I had wanted to try for a long time and soon got to love it. After having my leg amputated I looked into how I could shoot in the Paralympic. I've had a few assessments and recently attended a profiling day at the national sports centre at Shropshire. This week I had a email to say they think I have what it takes to be a world class archer and they want to fast tract my training to get me into the squad as soon as possible. Unfortunately the training and equipment all needs to be self funded untill I get into the squad. This is something that is going to cost a bit with travelling to shropshire on a weekly basis and accommodation when there. Also the kit i need is in excess of £3000 , I'm hoping to get a grant for the kit but it won't cover the full cost.

I would be very grateful to anyone who would like to make a donation however small to help me reach my final goal of Tokyo 2020
