Story

My uncle - Mark Butland - has recently had his arm amputated in order to give him the best chance of surviving Synovial sarcoma; a rare, incredibly aggressive form of cancer that has left him in a tremendous amount of pain over the past few months.

Mark is a devoted family man, an excellent father and proud Welshman. He is a veteran of the Falklands, has already suffered from (and survived) a brain tumour, a tumour in his neck, and a complete lack of hormones in the glands of his body, but this is his biggest fight yet.

Given the fact that he's now had this operation, he has had to give up work, which will naturally make things very financially tight in these already uncertain times for my aunt Christine, their two children Phoebe and Lois, and my uncle himself over the coming months.

If you can spare anything at all - even if it's just the cost of a cup of coffee - we'd all be incredibly grateful.

Thank you,
Shaun
