Story
I am always saddened when I am aware of children that have passed through the Family Courts or Care System and attend contact when for what ever reason the parent does not turn up. I want to make this experience less traumatic by providing decent toys books etc. so they can at least have an enjoyable time. The volunteers at these centres do the very best they can but as always money is an issue. Initially I will be starting in the SE England focusing in Essex first but I want this to spread far and wide. I am sure there will be social workers, legal profession and those that have passed through the system that will understand what I am talking about.
I have projects in mind over the coming months and am registering a charity called "Children Come 1st" which will I hope continue to raise awareness and funds. There are 1000's of children abused, distressed and upset during these sad times and whilst most will not be in life threatening positions, some are and children do die through this neglect. If we can only help in a small way that would be brilliant. Please help where you can however small.

8 years agoWell friends, I'm have my 4th out of 6 spinal surgeries next week and hopefully I will get some rest bite after over 30 operations in all. I have more metal in me that most modern cars :) At least this will give me some time to continue fundraising for this charity and the projects it supports. Recently spoke to a woman who had been in care as a child and had a horrendous time. She said that this would have made her experiences so much more bearable if the places she went were more appropriate. I do have some events arranged for 2017.

8 years agoThanks those that have donated so far. The paperwork is finding its way to the Charity Commission and The website is under construction. I know there are many calls on for donations but this new initiative will be helping hundreds of children and families who are entrenched in family breakdown. Some will have been abuse physically but however hard parents try many will be emotionally scared. I cannot stress how worthwhile your donations however small will help. Thank you so much for your continued support.
