Story
Today I met a beautiful soul on the streets in Glasgow. His name is Casper Po-Pimping and his story struck me...
For the sake of this crowdfunding page I ask that as you read his story you strip yourselves of your perceptions, any prejudice and/or any negative stigma against those that find themselves in these circumstances. NOT every homeless person put themselves there.
I sat with Casper for about 30 minutes. My eyes were drawn to him as I seen a guy really trying to make something of himseld to get themselvout of the rut they are in. Casper has a creative mind. He was doing artwork through acrylic paints on canvas prints. Casper goes to charity shops and gets small haberdashery hankies with children's designs on and he copies the prints onto canvas. He also find pieces of old wood and paints those too. As I got talking to Casper I could see he was suffering. Casper lost his son only 6 months ago and it was a tragic death, not only this but he has been subject to domestic abuse yet is too embarrassed to admit this to services. Casper had been living in a flat in town for three years until he moved his ex partner in with him and ended up in hospital with 8 stitches in his head from a glass ash tray. Casper said he didn't want to report her so he didn't admit this to the hospital, as again, he felt shame. As both of them was on the tenancy the housing said that he has made himself homeless by packing his bags and leaving. The housing seen it as "your on a tenancy agreement so you have a home" however they did not take into consideration the fact that he is a proud man and fled what was a toxic relationship. Casper was recently saved from hanging himself as someone found him. This occurred after the loss of his son. Casper does artwork to earn £15 a day so he can pay for a hostel each night. I seen a lost soul yet someone who deserves to be here. Please find it in yourselves to donate whatever you can find to get Casper a home back. #FindCasperahome - Thank u

I lost my father 9 months ago, I understand the trauma that Casper is going through. Casper has inspired me because he continues to go on with his life & keep his mind busy using his skills to try & move forward. I am a qualified Healthcare Professional & want to initiate change.
