I've raised £3000 to A first year Student Nurse.Hoping for a chance to do & elective abroad in his third year however, this will cost too much for him to go£4000

I'm a Student Nurse currently studying my 1st year of my degree. The University has opened up the opportunity for students to attend a different country to do an elective as part of the Work the World organisation.Sadly this comes at a price (£4000)
This experience is a once in a life time opportunity which will provide me with added experience and skills which will be vital to enhancing the way in which I go on to practice as a qualified nurse in the future.
I have always has a passion for the Nursing profession and strived for high standards of safe, personal, and above all effective care.
I believe in a holistic approach to care and consider the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs of patients to be just as important as the disability they are presenting with.
Attending a different country will provide me with the ability to enhance my knowledge and skill set and adapt my working practices to suit the service users.
I believe that this elective would not only benefit myself but would benefit the people of that country.I would be able to treat patients and exchange working practices with the healthcare practitioners of that country as well as learning from the practitioners and enhancing the care that I'm able to provide.
As a Student Nurse balancing academic studies, as well as family life and economic stability can be very challenging to say the least.
I attend university Monday to Friday most weeks and then at weekends I spend my time working from 7:30-20:00. This is physically intellectually, emotionally, and socially demanding, however, I don't envy the life style that others have because I have the biggest privilege anyone could ever have.
I care for people when they are at there most vulnerable, I'm there when those who are meant to love arn't there to wipe the tears away hold the person hand and tell them that they are not alone because I'm there for as long as they need.
Being a Student Nurse really is amazing!!
