Story

Help Shayne, a Brave Dad and Paratrooper, Fight the Battle of His Life....

This page has been created by two close friends who have known Shayne for many years, through wild nights out, unforgettable events, birthdays, weddings, and even funerals. We’ve shared life’s highs and lows with him, and through every occasion, one thing has always been true: Shayne is one of a kind.

Shayne is a proud father of three — Ava (11), Indie (9), and Archie (7) — and a serving member of The Parachute Regiment. He’s a man of drive, heart, and adventure. Always spontaneous, never doing things by halves, and constantly pushing himself and others to be their best. He has served and completed two military tours for the country including the withdrawal of Afghanistan.

He even gave up alcohol for 12 months to improve his health and focus on building a better more successful future. And if you know Shayne, this was not an easy task!

He’s generous to a fault, the kind of man who would give you his last pound without hesitation. His ideas? Outrageous, funny, sometimes impulsive, but often genius, always thinking outside the box. Shayne brings energy, humour, and creativity to everything he touches, and his presence lights up every room he is in.

But now Shayne needs us……

Shayne is currently in the biggest fight of his life. Two years ago, Shayne was told he has a cyst on his testicle after years and months of back and forth to the doctors and being told he had bloating or possible Irritable Bowl Disorder.

Shayne has now recently found out that what he actually had is testicular cancer, which has now spread to his liver, kidney, pancreas, lung and brain from his testicle, he is now at Stage 4, but that hasn’t stopped him from battling with everything he has got. He refuses to be bed-bound and is showing relentless strength not just for himself, but to inspire others.

He’s currently staying in temporary accommodation in Southsea, far from his military base, to be close to the hospital where he receives vital treatment. It’s an incredibly tough setup: physically, emotionally, and financially.

What Your Support Will Help With:

• Creating cherished memories with his children.

• Supporting the launch of Chemo Spartans — a charity Shayne is building to support others like him.

• If the worst were to happen give him a chance to feel like he has left something behind for his children that he would have achieved in good health.

How You Can Help:

We’re asking you — whether you know Shayne personally or are just moved by his story — to help us support this incredible man. Your donation, big or small, will go directly toward his care, his family, and his mission.

And if you can’t give right now, please share this page and help Shayne’s story reach as many people as possible.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

Shayne’s Mission: Shayne’s not just trying to survive — he’s trying to make an impact. He wants people to hear his message: “This is your life, and it’s your family’s life too. Don’t let the system fail you- ask questions, get checked, and get a second opinion.”
