Shay was one of the original ponies of Undercliff Pony Rescue, but he very sadly passed away in the early hours of Monday 8th February, 2021.

Despite having had some of the most awful treatment in the past, Shay became the most gentle and loving fella you could imagine.

He was the Daddy of the herd, and all it took was a glance from him to keep all of the boys in line. And he was Sharon's "Heart Horse". The once in a lifetime horse (if you're lucky) that you have such a deep bond with, that you can't really explain it unless you've experienced it.

As you can imagine, Shay's passing came as a dreadful shock to everyone at Undercliff Pony Rescue, and everyone that was lucky enough to meet this beautiful boy. No more so than to Sharon, who said " it feels like a part of me died" on Monday.

We would like to have Seamus cremated individually so that he can stay with Sharon forever, and also create a fitting memorial to Shay, the most incredible of all horses, that will remind everyone of him, and to encourage Sharon to keep up the amazing work she does for so many abandoned and neglected horses.
