Story

36 Scouts from the ages of 13 to 18 years old and 4 leaders from the Humber region have gone through rigorous selection events to be chosen to represent the region at the World Scout Jamboree in 2019 https://www.2019wsj.org/ 40,000 scouts from all over the world will join together at the Jamboree to be held in North America. It is an opportunity that a Scout may only have once in their Scouting lifetime. At the 3 week event the lucky selected Scouts have the opportunity to develop life skills, camping and exploring training as well as making new international friends and see the wonder of Northern American wilderness.

To pay for attending the event, each participant needs to raise £3,845 totalling £153,800 for the region group. The Humberside Scouts are determined to raise this sum through hosting many fundraising events as well as a sponsored event. 2019 seems a long way off but the sum to raise is very large and every penny counts.

A lovely farmer has allowed us to pull a tractor on his farm along a 100 meter track as a sponsored event and we are doing it in our local area to get our little group to the World Scout Jamboree!
