    Story

Established in 2011, Sheffield Smashers Boccia Club is open to people of all ages, disabilities and abilities.

Boccia is a Paralympic sport very similar to crown green bowls and the beauty of it, is that it's so inclusive. Whatever your disability, you are able to move the ball however works for you - whether that is throwing, rolling, using a ramp or even kicking (but not too hard..!).

We run a 1.5hour session of boccia at our home Pond's Forge each week and our members love this. However, it comes with it's cost and we are now looking at ways in which to fundraise to help to club run, as our low subs for members means that we struggle to meet the cost of running the session each week - whether that is assistance with court hire, equipment costs, refreshments or costs of extra activities for our members.

Every £10 we raise can help us pay for refreshment for a month
Every £60 we raise can help pay for running costs each week
Every £300 we raise can pay for a new set of boccia balls

    And the list is endless.

If you are able to donate, please do so.
