I've raised £200 to take part in white water rafting on the 25th August 18. This is in memory of my late husband John who sadly passed 10 years ago to MS.

Story

In 1995 my husband John developed M.S (Multiple Sclerosis) which he battled against for 15 years. Back then there wasn't many treatments for M.S and sadly 10 years ago John lost his battle. Due to the great work and research that the M.S Society does there is more treatment out there to help people with M.S and if only they had treatments like these ones now back in the 90s/ early 00's John might have still been here today.

I have recently become a member of the Glasgow M.S Fundraising group, where we do different events to raise money to help fund further research into finding more treatments to help battle M.S.

I am taking part in White Water Rafting on the 25th August 2018 at the Glasgow Pinkston Water Sports to help raise money for the M.S. I am hoping to raise £200.

"Around £200 will pay for one hour of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner use. MRI scanning is a crucial technique used to create a detailed image of the brain and spinal cord. We’re currently funding projects that use MRI scanners to monitor clinical trials and understand MS in more detail." https://www.mssociety.org.uk/research/explore-our-research/our-research-priorities/how-your-money-is-spent#

I may be 62 years old and a little bit crazy but i'm looking forward to the thrill for the water rafting and enjoyment in raising funds for this amazing charity. I hope you will all help me on my quest.
