I've raised £1000 to share between 2 charities once I have completed the Norfolk Marathon

In a moment of madness I decided that i would take on a challenge this year and run the first Norfolk marathon from Cromer on 28th April for charity. My natural state is ‘sloth’ so im not sure what i was thinking really taking on 26 miles. I‘ve heard the course is beautifully flat though 🤔😫
I’ve been training since Xmas and despite a few niggles I have managed to get my mileage up, and have completed two half marathons this year so far. Its time to start fundraising before, frankly, i talk myself out of doing it. Every penny i raise will help me get through the next few weeks of training.
I’m raising money for two charities:
Change Grow Live support people in Norfolk with alcohol and drug addiction. I probably don’t need to explain this one. For those that dont know we lost my mother in law last year very suddenly, who had been struggling wirh alcoholism. We sometimes feel the system failed us and failed someone we loved, but if my fundraising can help a family avoid the pain of losing someone like we did and/or help one person battle their demons then the pain of the training will all be worth it. I know Janis would have thought I was utterly mad for taking this on, on top of everything else on our plates, but she‘d have sponsored me all the same and told everyone she spoke to what I was doing and made them donate too.
I’m also raising money for a great charity called Break, who organise those fantastic trails around Norwich that keep our children entertained. They help children and families reach their potential regardless of their start in life. I want our kids to grow up understanding how fortunate they are and to think about others, and this is such a great charity to talk to them about. Im really pleased to be raising money to help other kids have the great start ours hopefully have had.
Ive set up a crowdfunding page so I can fundraise for two charities and will split whatever i raise across them both
