Story

News has just come in of a stray dog in the Trebevic mountain area, Bosnia in urgent need of medical attention and in need of shelter.

The dog has a deformed front leg from a previous injury, probably a broken leg that didn't heal properly and he is also struggling to put one of his hind legs on the ground to walk.

He is very thin and malnourished and has been abandoned by his owner.

Fata from Honor’s Shelter Sapica is going out to rescue the dog who she has named Bruce.

Bruce will be taken to the shelter's vet for treatment and will then be looked after by Fata and Dino at the shelter and hopefully rehomed at a later date.

We are appealing for your help to fund Bruce's recovery. The poor boy has been suffering long enough but we can't do it without you.

Honor’s Shelter Sapica is situated in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a private shelter for dogs saved from the streets, from the dog catchers, from death and from Praca public shelter. In Honor’s Shelter Sapica there are dogs who were once left to die, maltreated by uncaring owners or people on the streets. Here dogs are cared about, and they are given a chance to recover and have veterinary treatment. The aim is to find permanent homes for them through responsible adoption.

Honor’s Shelter Sapica is run by rescuers, Sejla Kadric and Fata Duric. It relies solely on the sponsorship of individual dogs and donations from kind supporters.
