Hi, my name is Kostas.

After visiting Serbia last summer, i realised the scale of the abuse and lack of care for animals in the country. Streets are looted with strays dogs and cats. In 2000, police infrastructure being built at the base of the Avala mountain, proposed the euthanisation of more than 400 dogs. However, this shelter saved them all and took them into care.

On my visit to the shelter, there were various different sections to specify the needs of the cats. The elderly ones were split from the others, and the diseased and cancerous cats, were enclosed from the others to give them the specific medication and dietary requirements; whilst recieving all the care and love in the world. This amazing place is being held up by two extraordinary people, but recent lack of funding has risked the shelter's existence.

I am doing a 10km run in Swansea on the 23rd of September to help raise money for this great cause. Therefore, I seek your help to raise money for this home, to help save the abused and mutilated animals of the Balkan area. Thank you.
