A number of we committee members have been associated with the club for periods of time in excess of 25 years & going way back in time, the old clubhouse looked ready to fall down, or be knocked down, then. Limited financial resources gave us no alternative, but to literally keep "painting over the cracks" until a llttle over 18 months ago when we took our first tentative steps to build our new clubhouse.

With very little assistance from outside grants, but considerable help from friends of the cricket club & the village of Shepley, we are now creating a lovely, spacious building which will serve the cricket club & village community well in the future. We are probably still some £40,000 or more short of fulfilling our dream & any support from any outside source or individuals would be gratefully received & appreciated.

We consider the cricket club to be very much a community based venture with particular emphasis on encouraging the juniors from Shepley & surrounding villages to get involved in club activities. We have various fund-raising activities to try to raise the profile of the club & to see so many young lads & lasses, together with parents, at Friday junior night practice evenings is a joy to behold.
