Story
Somerset Partnership NHS Trust are ‘temporarily’closing the 8 in-patient beds at Shepton Mallet Hospital and splitting up the successful nursing team. We believe they are acting unlawfully by not consulting the public, the staff, local GPs, the League of Friends and the residents of Shepton Mallet. Help us get a legal opinion from a specialist lawyer to present to the Trust to get them to stop the closure. EVERY SINGLE person in Shepton Mallet and the surrounding villages oppose this yet Somerset Partnership have decided they do not need to consult us. This is David vrs Goliath. Lets gather some pebbles to sling!
Any funds not used will be donated to the Friends of Shepton Mallet Hospital after the legal opinion is obtained.
