Story
Sherbrook Primary School is a generic special needs school for pupils aged 2 to 11 years who live in Cannock, Staffordshire and the surrounding areas. They are an inclusive school that have the specialist knowledge and skills to meet the needs of children with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities. This includes those moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
Their aim is to provide the highest quality education for all in a caring, supportive, inclusive and vibrant learning environment. They believe in the strong connection between home and school, and will work closely with parents and carers to maximize the opportunities on offer for all of their pupils.
Their team of trained staff provide each child with an exciting, individualised learning programme which engages, motivates and fosters a love of learning.
To try and assist the pupils of this special needs school trying to achieve the best they possibly can both academically and socially, along with my good friends Anthony Crick and Thomas Hicks, I am planning to travel the length and breadth of the country and attend every single one of the 92 Football League Clubs within 92 hours, starting the long journey on or around Wednesday 11th October 2017 at Watford FC.
The team will be travelling nearly 2,300 miles during the trip covering all the clubs from the Premier League, Championship, League 1 and League 2.
Any items received from donators will be sold/auctioned/raffled off at the end of the tour with all proceeds going to Sherbrook Primary School.
I can see how much of a great job they do at Sherbrook as my own 5 year old Son Thomas, who has autism and a global developmental delay attends the school.
They always go above and beyond for the children, but cant always follow through with projects to the lack of funding.

7 years agoI wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone for their support over the last week. The continued support with your messages of encouragement helped push us through this huge challenge and we have been totally overwhelmed by the donations that have been made towards the cause for Sherbrook. We have all been touched by this, but feel that it is a small price to pay to recognise the fantastic work to all those involved at Sherbrook Primary School who provide a fantastic environment for the children to develop in. Kind Regards Stephen Howe
