Our family dog Murphy was taken away from us 3 months ago by the authorities. Murphy had spent the last 2-3 years being tormented by a neighbours dog who continuously barked at our gate winding our dog up. Murphy is a male dog and naturally wanted to protect his territory. One morning Murphy managed to get out and bit the dog outside of our home. The dog survived and all the vet bills were paid by my family. It is totally out of character for him to attack another dog but he was protecting his territory. The police came and took him away, 3 months have passed and we attended a court hearing yesterday. Murphys been listed as a ' dangerous dog ' and has been ordered to be ' destroyed ' by the judges at court. He is 3 years old and still a little pup. We have 20 days to appeal otherwise he will be put to sleep on the 1st November 2016. He is a well loved family pet and we are all heart broken at the thought of him being put to sleep. This is our last chance of bringing him home. Every little helps.
