Story
As with most events this year the Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival has been a casualty of the restrictions around the Coronavirus Pandemic with the 33rd Festival being postponed until next October.
The club nights at the Shetland Hotel have also been cancelled. Of course, these club nights and its members are the mainstay of the Accordion and Fiddle package that the committee strive to present in Shetland year on year.
So with no club nights there are no memberships, and no income for the club and in turn no income for the Festival. Restrictions have also meant we have been unable to hold any fundraising events either. Plus we no longer receive any grant funding.
While we appreciate there are a lot of charities and other organisations feeling the squeeze at this time, we’d really love if you could make a donation via this page to help us maintain the Club and Festival as we all know it.
Your continued support is hugely appreciated, so thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting the Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival.
Together we’ll come through this. Here’s to 2021!
