I've raised £2000 to Help Fund food packages in Bangladesh Sylhet Area. To Help families who are out of work due to Covid 19.

According to World Bank data, only 15% of Bangladesh’s population makes more than 500 taka ($5.90) a day. They can meet their daily expenses, send their children to school, and hope that they reserve enough for an emergency health crisis. Most villagers depend on remittances from the cities or abroad. But because this is a global crisis, people everywhere are out of work. Income has stopped.
Most people in Bangladesh tend to survive on wages that they earn per day which has stopped now. I want to be able to help deliver some food to the most affected. Some people in the area of Sylhet rent private homes so that they can work in the city. These homes are mostly 1 rooms per family of 4 to 6 with only one person providing for the whole family. As they are the sole breadwinner of the family, due to the crisis most of them are out of work and they do not have access to any government funding like universal credit as we do here. They have to choose between rent or food. I want to be able to help relieve some burden by donating food parcel with the money I raise.
Every £5 I receive will be able to buy 5 kilo rice, 1 litre Oil, 1 kilo Chickpeas and 1 kg Salt per family which will feed 4 person for 4 days. Every single penny will go to those in need.
