I've raised £300 to Attend COP26 (United Nations' Climate Change Conference) as part of the Christian Climate Observers Program.

I have been selected as an observer as part of the Christian Climate Observers Program (CCOP). This program trains the next generation of climate leaders from a Christian and missional perspective. I will use this opportunity to call on UK Christian leaders to link climate with racial and social justice action.
As a young female Christian environmental leader, I’ve always wanted to attend the COP climate conference. Six years ago, I was selected as part of a start-up hackathon to attend COP 21. Due to the terror attacks in Paris this trip was cancelled and remains one of my biggest regrets. With more years of experience in the faith and climate space, I want to participate in CCOP to further develop my leadership potential, learn from global leaders at COP26 and network with young global climate activists.
Most importantly, I want to use these experiences to diversify the conversation on climate justice, by calling youth from minority communities to make connections globally, and take climate action locally. As a trustee at Operation Noah and founding member of the Young Christian Climate Network, I am eager to build on the momentum of COP26 as Christian NGOs respond to the call for climate justice. Following CCOP, I hope to speak at churches, write about my experiences for Christian charities and use learnings from CCOP, to drive climate action amongst young UK Christians. You can find out more abut the CCOP here: http://www.ccopclimate.org/about. I've received a partial scholarship from CCOP. All funds will be used to cover accomodation expenses.
