Story

Shine Bright CIC recognises the increased need within communities for emotional, mental and social wellbeing support and aims to alleviate some of the overwhelm felt across communities due to the recent pandemic.

Shine Bright provides group and individual therapeutic wellbeing support that aids children, young people and families to transform their wellbeing together. The support teaches communities to self-care, to get well and stay well, to support others and to prevent crisis now and in their future.

Support is offered through creative and activity based individual therapeutic support sessions, a structured 12-week peer support group programme, an ongoing peer support group for all and the opportunity to become a trained volunteer peer facilitator.

Shine Bright is guided by the ethics of WRAP© (an evidenced based wellness programme ) and the benefits of peer support and skills and strengths of its communities.

" I lost my personality and who I was through bullying. WRAP has given me my confidence back. I am now a WRAP facilitator and have run my first group. It is great to be able to help others. My confidence is great and even my head teacher has told me I am an asset to my new school" 14 yr old, Male

By providing support at the right time in the right way, in a creative, relaxed, non-judgmental environment Shine Bright helps communities to be the expert of their own wellness, have their voice heard and plan for a crisis. It teaches communities how to not only influence their own future health, life choices and aspirations but also others.
