I'm part of the Shire Newspaper committee and looking to raise £250 to support the continued production of the Shire newspaper.

Each month a group of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers produce and distribute our valued community newspaper.

From editing, reporting, managing the finances, advertising and general admin all the way through to sorting the bundles for distribution and delivering to the 5000 properties in Shirehampton - its all done by volunteers living within our local community.

We like to cover all printing costs via advertising revenue but this is getting more and more difficult in the current financial environment.

That why I'm asking for your support to keep this newspaper on the road. Help us to keep sharing our local news stories and local events, reminding people of all the good things happening in Shire and surrounding area, and keeping the community spirit alive!

Any donation large or small is very welcome and greatly appreciated!

Shire also likes to bring the community together on Christmas Eve with Carols on the Green. This features a local brass band, and community led carol singing. There are some set up and advertising costs relating to this event which we would welcome donations to help cover too - any surplus donations will used to produce future editions of the newspaper.
