I've raised £200 to raise funds for Victoria hospital in Isle of Bute, Royal Alexandria Hopsital High Dependancy Unit and to raise awareness of Sepsis

I am raising money for Victoria hospital in Bute and the Royal Alexandria hospital to say thank you for saving my life.
11 months has passed since I was airlifted from the Isle of Bute to high dependancy within Paisley RAH. I was septic, sacroiliac joint infection , DVT and had septic lung abscesses. I will be forever thankful to Victoria hospital and Bute Physio therapy department for their response to my symptoms when it matters the most. I am thankful for HDU in Paisley Royal Alexandria hospital, Queen Elizabeth hospital who treated me. Every staff member treated me with respect and dignity.
Since discharge I have been recovering and striving to get back to the level of fitness I was at before I became unwell. I am running Bute 10k on Saturday 11th of August to mark one full year in my recovery.
I made a goal in hospital to go back to Bute 10k to walk, jog or run where I logged many many miles around the island before I became unwell. I have many happy memories of Bute. To return to the helicopter landing strip at the start of the race alive and healthy means a lot to me and my family and marks a full year of recovery.
Sepsis trust have helped me to understand sepsis and supported my recovery by providing me information, education. They can be found on https://sepsistrust.org
